A chamber of commerce day at National for the Men's Day on Saturday. The format was Stableford, Beat the Pro and Skins along with the Pick a Pro from the Masters field. As you know anyone who picked Lefty was at a significant advantage over the rest of the field. This was to include Mr. Pat Molamphy who took home 1st place honors in the Pick a Pro game by combining his net score of 72 with Phil Michelson's Saturday round of 66 for a total of 138. Following closely on his heals were
Tom Lorenz and John Doster who also picked 3 time Masters Champion Phil Mickelson to take the 2nd place spot at 140. The last paying spots for that event was a three way tie for 4th with Mark Packard shooting a nice round of Net 69. Unfortunately he let his heart instead of his head make his pick of Freddy Couples who struggled to a finish of 75 for a combined total of 144. Ron Coffman Jr. combined his score of net 72 with Tiger Woods ho hum round of 72 to take another of the 4th place spots. Dave Dunn who had some ups and downs today turned in a net score of 78 but with a little help from Phil he eked into that last paying spot with a 144 total. Great job guys! In the Stableford department we had only 4 players better their quota with the leading money winner of the day Big Tom Lorenz going +8 over his quota. He was followed by Ron Coffman Jr. who finished the day 3-3-3 to go +4 on his quota. The only other people to get their points were Jack Maisano & Pat Molamphy who both went +2 on their quota's.
The Skins pool had only 7 total skins out with Rick Roberts and Pat Molamphy each getting two skins followed by Mark Packard, Tom Lorenz and Jack Maisano getting 1 skin each.
The Beat the Pro game today had 4 people besting the pro. The pro was right on his stableford quota so the only ones beating him were those that went over their quota. Here they are again if you missed it earlier
Tom Lorenz, Ron Coffman Jr., Jack Maisano & Pat Molamphy.
Thanks to everyone for playing in the Men's Day. Next week we are a 10am Shotgun start and the format will be combined stableford of the four player team. Be there or be square.
Best,
Dave
