Men's Day Results for August 24th, 2013

We had a great turnout today for a beautiful day weather wise. Today's format was the usual Beat the Pro, Skins, Stableford and the new game was a two player blind draw combined Stableford points. We had a total of 17 guys come out for the festivities.

The skins game was sparse with only ten skins being taken on the day. There was a tie at the top with Russell Stokes, Phillip Bailey and Rick Finnin all taking home two skins apiece.

The Stableford game was again dominated by Jack Maisano who bested his quota by 7 points. That quota is steady on the rise with his recent play. Bill Fitzgerald bested his quota by 5 points to take home second.

In the beat the pro game there were quite a few players besting the pro has he didn't have his best day out on the links. The players who beat the pro were Steve Ahlfeld, Alan Curtis, Dave Dunn, Bill Fitzgerald, Don Hearn, Jack Maisano, and Russell Stokes. Better luck to the pro next week.

In the two man stableford game that was a blind draw the team of Alan Curtis and Russell Stokes took home the top prize with a total of 92 points. Second was taken by Steve Ahlfeld and Ed Bernard scoring 88 points. There was a three way tie for third with these teams scoring 86 points.

Men's Day Results for August 3rd 2013

What a great turnout we had today for our 1,2,3 format in Men's Day.  This format is when the four player team alternates counting 1, 2 and 3 balls on each hole.   A total of 20 players showed up to test their game against our Nicklaus gem and one team stood out from the rest with their exceptional play.

Mr. Andy Wright came in from Bermuda to collect some first place prize money with the rest of his teammates which included his next door Neighbor Alan Curtis.  They combined for a stellar score of 125 to take the 1st place spot by two shots in the team game over the squad of Don Hearn, Fabian Alzamora, Steve Schwerin and Jack Maisano.

The skins game was sparse with skins.  We only had 9 total skins out with Andy Wright and Alan Curtis taking the top spot with two skins each.

The Stableford game was a blowout with Jack Maisano killing his quota by 8 points.
